Scott “Q” Marcus
Scott refers to himself as a “THINspirational Speaker” and "Recovering Perfectionist" because he started speaking professionally after losing 70 pounds 15 years, 7 months and 22 days ago (not that anyone’s counting). He now helps organizations who are facing challenging times improve morale and productivity - while having a good time. He is a syndicated newspaper columnist, author of three books, a wellness coach and consultant, and the founder and publisher of Two Words Magazine: a motivational publication dedicated to hope, inspiration, and change from a simple phrase.

Nancy Gaston

Nancy Gaston, CVA, has over 20 years of experience as a volunteer resources manager, having directed a Volunteer Center, a volunteer chore center, and a crisis line. She has also served a faith congregation as director of lay ministry. Nancy now does training and consulting through her organization, Gifts Differing. She presents regularly at local, regional and national conferences and events.Nancy is scheduled to present two workshops. One covers involving skilled volunteers in leadership roles and the other how to fire or redirect a volunteer. 

  

Tammy McCammon

Tammy is the assistant program manager for SMART (Start Making a Reader Today). She served as the community parner liaison Americorps*VISTA at Western Oregon University prior to working for SMART. Tammy presented a marketing workshop at MVVMA’s conference in 2008. She is the current MVVMA president.

Tammy is scheduled to present a workshop on using Facebook as a volunteer management tool.

  

Chanda Stone

Chanda Stone, CVA, has worked for the city of Tualatin as a Volunteer Specialist for more than eleven years. Chanda hold her degree in Geography with a focus on Urban Forestry. She works primarily with volunteers in the city’s parks and greenways to restore them to their native glory. In the last 5 years she has overseen the planting of 31,000 native trees and shrubs. Chanda created and runs the T.E.A.M. Tualatin summer teen program. She also works with Life Boy Scouts and Ambassador Girl Scouts on their Eagle and Gold awards. Chanda is married and the proud mother of two beautiful children. She loves to go to the coast, hike in the woods, and bake cookies. She also designs and makes her own jewelry.

Chanda is scheduled to present a workshop on harnessing teen energy.

  


Judy Clarke

Judy Clarke is an organizational development consultant with more than 30 years of experience and a background in mental health counseling. She works with organizations to assess their needs and design innovative programs to address identified goals and increase organizational effectiveness. She helps employees and leaders better understand and manage the change process. Judy is president and owner of Team HR, LLC.

Judy is scheduled to present a workshop on weathering organizational change.

  


Levi Herrera-Lopez

Levi Herrera-Lopez has been Director of Mano a Mano Family Center for five years, overseeing its largest expansion to date. He initially joined Mano a Mano through it's youth project, the Latinos Unidos Siempre Youth Organization in 1997. His studies include a major in Communications (with a focus on intercultural communications), a minor in Latin American Studies and a Certificate on Popular Culture Studies at Portland State University.

Levi is scheduled to present a workshop on the effective recruitment of Latino volunteers.

  


Christina Hanson
and Carie Bauer

Carie Bauer is currently Program Coordinator for Multnomah County Library Volunteer Services. Prior to her current position, she successfully implemented an intern program at the Washington County District Attorney's Office. She holds a Masters degree in Public Administration and has years of experience managing volunteers and interns in both government and non-profit agencies.

Christina Hanson is a Volunteer Specialist at the Tualatin Public Library. Prior to this, she coordinated the volunteer program at the Hillsboro Public Library, and an early-literacy program at Vose Elementary School in Beaverton. She has a Masters degree in Latin American Studies and a Master of Library and Information Studies degree, and has additional work experience as a policy researcher in the academic and non-governmental sectors.

Christina and Carie are scheduled to present a workshop on developing a meaningful and sustainable intern program in your organization.

  


Khela Singer-Adams

Khela, a native of Oregon, is the director for HandsOn Mid-Willamette Valley. She served as community service learning director at Willamette University from 2004 to 2007, and an academic adviser for the University of Oregon’s College of Education from 2001 to 2004. Khela has a Master of Science degree in educational leadership from the University of Oregon. Khela has taught courses in leadership development at the university level, in addition to providing volunteer management training at regional conferences and to local volunteer management staff.

Khela is scheduled to present a workshop on incorporating economy-driven volunteers.
